Avon Gorge abseil

On 9 October 2011, 50 brave souls tested their own fears to the max by abseiling down the 50m cliff face to raise money for children who are vulnerable and frightened, living in the shadow of their parents’ drinking.

Abseiling delivers an experience of fear and apprehension; the same feeling a child endures when they return from school to an alcoholic home. Nacoa delivers a safety rope, so desperately needed, with an experienced team of volunteers who are firmly anchored into an understanding of the problems these children face in their daily lives.” Hilary Henriques MBE, Chief Executive and Co-founder of Nacoa

Many thanks to all who took part and supported us on the day and helped us to raise a massive £11,087!
